Error 202: "Invalid path or file name"

This message occurs when the user is trying to generate an item from the Payroll software, such as a report to file or a direct credit file, and the location specified for that item to be generated in does not exist.

To stop error from occurring

To stop the error occurring, the location specified for the generation of the item needs to be checked to confirm that it exists. If the location does not exist then either:

• create the necessary location, or
• select a new location and correct the software to create the item to that new location.
