Interpreting the holiday pay employee audit notes in the payroll audit report (New Zealand)

Exo Payroll has Notes that can be created manually by a user or are created automatically by the software. These Notes will normally appear in the employee's record under the Notes tab.

As well as the standard Notes, the software also contains Notes that do not appear in the employee's Notes tab and are called Audit Notes.

MYOB Exo Payroll has a report called Payroll Audit that shows the Audit Notes and can be found under Reports> Print Reports > Financial tab. This report is helpful when trying to investigate changes made to holiday entitlements as the system automatically makes a note for particular changes made in the Holiday Pay screen of Employee Maintenance. Each note also contains the User who was logged in when the change was made and the machine information of the pc that the change was made on.

As the messages relating to Holiday Pay can sometimes be confusing, below are examples of the messages and which area each one refers to.

The above message relates to a figure being changed in the Edit Days/Hours History Screen. This is found when going into an Employee's Maintenance, select Holiday Pay tab then clicking on the button which says 'Edit Days' or 'Edit Hours'. This message means that a figure in the Edit Days/Hours column has been changed.
