Upgrading EXO Employer Services software online

Upgrades for MYOB Exo Employer Services software can be done online (email notification is sent advising when the Tax Compliance upgrade is available) or through an email containing a link instead of via a CD. Check that our email address is in your Contacts list so your spam filter does not direct our email into a spam folder.

To check your version of EXO Payroll
  1. From the main menu click on Help > About or press F11
  2. The version number is related to the financial year the software was released for:

To upgrade online

Before you start updating, make sure:

  • There are NO open pays within the system (either Current Pays or One-Off Pays).
  • All users have closed their session of MYOB Exo Employer Services.
  • That a Windows user account with administrative privileges should perform this upgrade.
  • If you have multiple computers set up to run MYOB Exo Payroll across a network, you must run this upgrade on the system that houses the database.
  • You have performed a backup of your current database.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR SERVER BASED INSTALLATIONS: If your software is installed on the server, your upgrade must be completed on the server, usually by your IT Team or System Administrator.

  1. From the main menu go to Help > Upgrade Software Online
  2. A dialog screen will appear, follow the onscreen prompts to upgrade.
