Ensuring daylight saving is correct for BundyPlus clocks

Each year New Zealand and most (but not all) Australian States adjust their clock times so as to make better use of the Summer days.

Currently Daylight Saving starts and ends on the following:

  • New Zealand - starts on the last Sunday of September and ends on the first Sunday in April
  • Australia - NSW starts on the first Sunday in October and ends on the first Sunday in April (check locally for other States)

MYOB recommend checking in September each year to ensure your software holds appropriate dates - process is described below.

To ensure the Bundy Plus clocks have the correct dates for Daylight Saving, use the ClockComms software to apply these dates.

To ensure clocks have the correct daylight saving dates
  1. Right click on the MYOB Employers Services shortcut that is normally used to open the MYOB EXO software. This is normally found on the desktop.
  2. Select Properties from the menu then click on the Shortcut tab then click on the Open File Location button. If Windows XP is the operating system being used then the button will be called Find Target.
  3. The folder containing the software will open. Find the Bundy Plus folder then double click on it.
  4. Within this folder double click on the ClockComms.exe file. The ClockComms software will open at the Command Centre screen.
  5. Click on the Maintenance Centre icon in the bottom right hand section of the screen.
  6. Click on the Time Zone icon which will open Time Zone Settings screen
  7. In the Local Settings field, select the appropriate Local Time Zone setting then in the Time Zone Profiles list select the appropriate Profile
  8. Ensure "Has Daylight Savings" is ticked and confirm that "Starting Date" and "Ending Date" are correct. MYOB recommend checking these dates every September as they are slightly different each year. If not current, click the "Update Time Zone Definitions" button. If not updated, this might relate to an internet connection issue, and best to edit dates manually.
  9. Click on the Floppy Disk icon to the left of the Close button to save these settings then click on the Close button to exit from the Time Zone Settings screen
  10. Click on the Exit Maintenance Centre button to return to the ClockComms Command Centre
  11. Select the Set Daylight Savings item from the Available Commands list then click on the Start button
  12. The "Day light saving has been set" message will appear in the Current Progress Information area when the Set Daylight Savings command has completed
  13. Click on the Exit Application button in the bottom left hand section of the screen to close the ClockComms software

If the date of change for Daylight Saving has already passed, use the Set Time and Date item from the Available Commands list to set the correct time and date on the clock.
