Error: "Fatal error: Exception code=C0000006"

When the Exo Employer Services software is running, occassionally the message "Fatal error: Exception code=C0000006" occurs which is followed by the program closing down.

This is a rare occurrence and the following article can assist in understanding what to do next.

This message relates to the IT environment (perhaps within the network or server) and does not indicate a problem within the Exo Employer Services software. The situation has occurred when the software is performing an action and that action has not been able to complete due to whatever has happened in the IT environment.

  • If there are no known (or obvious) IT issues, the Exo Employer Services software is likely to work correctly after restarting the software. In some cases the user's PC might also need to be restarted.
  • If the situation continues then IT should check the environment for what could be causing this to occur. Options that can be tried include testing the software by running it from a different PC, running the software under the network Domain Administrator login, copying the software to a user's PC then running it on that PC or using remote access to the location where the software is installed.

Anything that was being changed or added at the time of the error occurring may not have been saved so would need to be re-entered.
