Error: "File access is denied" when creating an IR file (New Zealand)

Reports have different options for printing including creating the report to a file, such as PDF or CSV, in the location specified in the File Name field.

The error message 'File access is denied' occurs when the MYOB Exo Employer Services software is intending to create a file to a location and is denied access to that location. This may be due to insufficient rights or changes made to the location which has resulted in the user being unable to save or create files to that location.

If the 'File access is denied' error message appears when trying to create an IR file to the specified location, create the file to another location such as your local C drive or desktop.

If the user can create/save the files to a different location then they can either use this location as the new location or alternatively the user can contact their IT to assess the permissions of the original location. Once permissions have been assigned, the user should be able to create/save the file to the original location.
