Reminder messages showing incorrectly under other employees

When the Reminders screen is being viewed, it is possible for duplicate reminder messages to be appear. These duplicates can also be shown for other employees incorrectly.

In this article we show you how to disable Birthday reminder messages in:

  • The Australian EXO Payroll
  • The New Zealand EXO Payroll

When duplicate reminder messages occur it is often related to when birthday reminders have been created. These duplicate reminder messages cannot be removed from the Reminder Notes screen other than by clicking on the Complete field for each reminder. Each time the Complete field is clicked, that reminder disappears and the next reminder can be dealt with.

To minimise any future occurrences of duplicate reminder notes, disabling the Birthday reminders option can achieve this.

To disable birthday reminders (Australia)
  1. Under the heading "Company Setup" then click on "Reminder notes".
  2. Untick the "Create reminder notes for birthdays" field then click Save.
To disable birthday reminders (New Zealand)
  1. From the main screen in the payroll company go to the Utilities menu then click on "Setup EXO Payroll".
  2. Click on the tab "Setup Page 2" then on the "Special Options Setup" button.
  3. Untick the "Create Reminder Notes for Birthdays" field then click Save.
  4. From the "Setup Page 2" click on Save to return to the main screen.
