"There is more than one user logged into Payroll" when logging in

In the MYOB Exo Employer Services software, a single user license enables only one user to be logged into the software at any given time.

If several users would like to access the software at the same time, then a multi-user license will need to obtained. This can be done by contacting your Business Partner or the Administration Team if you do not have a Business Partner to arrange this.

When accessing the software, if the message ‘There is more than one user logged into Payroll’ (or any of the other modules) appears and is not allowing the user to log in then this could be due to one of the following reasons:

  • There is another user logged into the software and the company holds only a single user licence. Ensure there are no other users logged in then try to login again. At times users maybe be logged in from the previous day and may not have shut down their pc’s. Check that this is not the case.
  • If there are no other users logged in to the software, it is possible that a copy is still open on the server such as in a Terminal Server environment where a users session has crashed. Get IT to close the program or session on the server. This should then allow the user to log into the software.
