Changing the default backup path

In Exo Payroll, backups are done when updating pays and can also be created when exiting the software, changing companies, from the toolbar or from the Utilities menu. The backups create the files in the location specified in the screen at the time of running the backup. 

The backup path can be changed in two ways, either at the time of running the backup or under Utilities menu > Backup Options.

If the location is changed when running the backup, this new path will not stick and will revert to the default backup path when the next backup is run.
To change the default backup path
  1. Click on Utilities and then select Backup Options
  2. Click on the Browse button to the right of the path field then browse to the new default backup location that the backup is to go to
  3. Select/unselect any options
  4. Click on Save
  5. The Backup location will now be updated to the new location. This can be checked when running a backup or from Utilities > Backup Options.
