Using Excel to create reports from EXO Payroll

Any Software system is only as good as the reporting that you can get out of it and your Payroll system is no exception. Your software should provide you the reports to check:

  • That your pay is accurate each pay period
  • That your pay variances are minimal so that you can budget ahead
  • How your wages are made up and what cost centres are resulting in increased costs
  • That your system is setup correctly and using accurate pay rates

Your system should also provide you with the flexibility to manipulate your data and get additional information as needed.

Exo Payroll holds 73 standard reports in the system for Employee data, Pay and Financial Information, Maintenance detail and IRD reporting. These standard reports offer the functionality to export to your printer, CSV & PDF, and also directly to Excel.

Excel reporting is a largely underutilized feature in the system. It allows users to export the report data to an Excel spreadsheet to manipulate and display the information exactly how you need.

Once you have the report in Excel you can add filters, create pivot tables, create charts & graphs and much more.
