Updating an employee's incorrect details in a standard pay

When creating a pay in MYOB Exo Payroll the software uses the Standard Pay template to create the pay from. The Standard Pay contains the "standard" items that the employee is to be paid each period.

During the processing of the pay, the pay clerk may want to check the figures from the employee's Standard Pay. Rather than having to exit the Current Pay to check the Standard Pay's figures, there is the "View Employee Details/Standard Pay" button in the Current Pay.

The "View Employee Details/Standard Pay" button opens the Employee Maintenance screen for that employee. This will allow viewing of the employee details to check information without having to exit the pay being processed.

There may be times when the information being viewed from the "View Employee Details/Standard Pay" is incorrect as it may be old details. This can occur if the employee's record had the information updated without the Save:F10 button used when exiting from the Employee Maintenance screen.

To update the details in a standard pay
  1. Exit from the pay being processed
  2. Go to Employee Maintenance and select that employee
  3. Select the Standard Pay tab and make sure the details are correct
  4. Click on Save:F10 to save the employee record
  5. Go back to the Current Pay and continue processing the pay

When saving from an employee record in Employee Maintenance by clicking on the Save:F10 button, the employee record should close. If the record does not close, there is information that needs to be updated such as dates, e.g. Annual Review Date and the record has not been saved.
