Posted days still visible in Maintain Times

MYOB Exo Time and Attendance deals with the maintaining of times for days worked and the payment of those hours.

Maintaining of times can be done from both the Maintain Times and Pay Period Times screens. The "Maintain Times" screen allows for the viewing and editing of days that have not yet been moved into a Pay Period. The "Pay Period Times" screen allows for the viewing and editing of the days appearing in that pay period, in preparation for posting to the Current Pay in MYOB Exo Payroll. Once the information in "Pay Period Times" is correct and that Pay Period has been "posted", the days will be moved to the Edit History section of the Maintain Times screen.

Occasionally, days that have been "posted" may continue to appear for an employee in the Maintain Times screen rather than in the Edit History section of Maintain Times. If this has been found to have occurred, the details below explain what to do.

In MYOB Exo Time and Attendance software

  • In Maintain Times, note the employee number that has been affected and the dates of the days.
  • Check Pay Period Times to confirm that the pay period that contained those days has been "posted".

In the MYOB Exo Payroll software

  • If the Current Pay has been updated for that pay period then the pay details are likely to be correct. Printing and checking a Paysheet report will allow this to be confirmed.
  • If the Current Pay is still open for that pay period, confirm that the data has posted successfully from MYOB Exo Time and Attendance. If not, the quickest option to allow completion of the Current Pay right now may be to key the data manually into the Current Pay.

Based on what is found above, the following suggestions can be tried:

  • If Pay Period Times has not been "posted" then do the "Post to Payroll" step.
  • If Pay Period Times has been "posted" and no pollings of the Timeclocks have been done since the pay processing was done, restore the "Post to Payroll" backup then do the "posting" again and process the Current Pay as normal. Note: Any work done in the software since the backup was originally taken will need to be redone.

If neither of the above options remove the "posted" days from the Maintain Times screen of the employee, contact the MYOB Exo ES Business Partner that the company is dealing with or the MYOB Exo ES Support Team for further assistance.
