Error: "Unable to generate Pdf converter"

MYOB Exo Employer Services Support Report displays the Event Log that records the events which have occurred in the software. This includes information such as the User, Company, Module and Events such as errors. The report can be useful to a Support Technician in troubleshooting issues that the user is experiencing in the software by providing detail of the error message and time it occurred.

If the error ‘Unable to generate Pdf converter’ occurs when sending the Support Report via the Email button on the Support Diagnostics screen, the following steps could be taken:

  • Run the network.exe file - Click here for assistance with this process
  • If after running the network.exe file the same error occurs, it could mean that the user does not have sufficient rights. An IT person would be able to assist in providing the appropriate rights/permissions for the user.
  • Once the permissions have been given, run the network.exe file again.
  • If the error still occurs, sufficient rights may not have been applied. The IT person can test sending the report using the network Domain Administrator login to see if it works. If the report sends, this means that the user does not have sufficient rights.
  • If the error occurs when trying with the network Domain Administrator login then IT can test if other reports in the software can be generated as PDF files to check that the PDF converter is working.
  • Reinstall the pdf converter by running the AmyuniPDF.exe file from the Payroll install folder then try sending the report again.
  • If the error continues then IT can investigate what other programs/applications may be blocking or causing the message, especially if other reports in the software can be produced.
