2026.02 release notes - AU

The 2026.02 release updates MYOB Exo Employer Services to comply with Payday Super changes to the maximum contribution base, i.e. the maximum amount of earnings an employer is required to pay superannuation on.

Learn about:

Yearly maximum contribution base for superannuation

From 01 July 2026, the maximum contribution base for employers is changing from a quarterly amount to a yearly amount, based on the financial year-to-date qualifying earnings. For the 2026–27 financial year, the annual maximum contribution base is $270,830.

To support this change, we’ve added a new Maximum Earnings Base per Year field to the Superannuation Maintenance form (Maintenance > Superannuations). This new field is for pays with a physical payment date on or after 01 July 2026.

For pays with a physical payment date prior to 01 July 2026, the old Maximmum Earnings Base per Quarter field is used.

If the annual value is left at 0.00, no annual maximum contribution base is applied.

After upgrading, set the maximum earnings base for your superannuation records

  • If adding a new superannuation record, set the MCB per quarter to 0.00 and the MCB per year to $270,830.00.

  • For existing superannuation records, leave the MCB per quarter the same and the MCB per year to $270,830.00.

We’ve also updated the Superannuations Report to make sure it includes the correct maximum earnings base.
