MYOB Acumatica — Workforce Management 24.9, September 2024

With version 24.9, we’ve made some major improvements to the rehiring workflow, a gamechanger for sites that take on seasonal employees. We’ve also made onboarding easier to use for managers and new hires, and completely revamped the landing page for employees using the web app.

In addition we’ve made some quality-of-life improvements to MFA and shift costing, and fixed some frustrating issues.

What's new?

Rehire terminated employees

We’ve improved the rehiring workflow so you can reuse your workforce management employee records. This saves some confusing duplication, especially for companies with seasonal workers that re rehired regularly.

The Rehire button is available on the Employment Status menu of the employee profile, but check the help first, as you may need to make some setup changes before starting.

Streamlined onboarding

We’ve made our onboarding UI smarter and given you more flexibility to tailor onboarding flows to different types of employees.

These changes are particularly useful for MYOB Acumatica — Payroll sites that only use workforce management for the onboarding features.

  • To make them more suitable for contractors, the super and tax steps can now be removed from custom onboarding flows.

  • Some optional settings have been moved to a new Advanced Settings section of the Invite Employee panel.

  • The Reporting to field is now optional.

  • The Email address field has been renamed to User ID.

  • When a new hire selects Citizen when filling out their right to work information, related fields (such as Visa) are hidden.

  • You can now add the employee’s standard hours to the roster from the Invite Employee form.

Embed document templates in your onboarding flows

To make it easier to manage documentation, we’ve integrated the document template feature into onboarding.

You can now add document templtes into your onbaording flows for new hires to sign. After onboarding these will appear in Received Documents for the onboarded employee and Documents for the manager.

This gives you a single documentation work flow for both new and existing employees.

Revamped employee landing page in the web app

We’ve improved the landing page experience for users who are not managers or administrators, so that they can quickly access the functions most useful to them.

Now when they log in their available shifts, roster, leave information and more will be available without having to navigate any menus.

Publishing shifts automatically triggers costing

To help make sure your costs are always accurate, shifts are now automatically costed when manually published on the Roster screen. You no longer have to click the Cost button after making changes to your roster.

Reset employee multi-factor authentication (MFA) and username without contacting support

To make it quicker to manage user access issues, we’ve added the ability for users with administrator access (either from the default Administrator permission group or custom groups with the appropriate access) to reset other users' MFA and username.

To do this, open an employee’s profile and go to the Settings tab.
