Map Azure Active Directory groups to MYOB Advanced roles

 

Do not use with MYOB Advanced Payroll versions earlier than 2023.1.1 On versions older than 2023.1.1, an issue prevents sites using Azure AD from completing pay runs. For more information, see MYOB Advanced Known Issues, reference CE00037056.

After you've integrated MYOB Advanced with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), you can map Azure AD groups to user roles in MYOB Advanced.

Map Azure AD groups to MYOB Advanced roles
  1. In MYOB Advanced, go to the User Roles (SM201005) form.
  2. In the Summary area, in the Role Name field, select the role you want to associate with an Active Directory group (or with multiple groups).
  3. On the Active Directory tab, click Add Row.

    You'll only see the Active Directory tab if the Azure AD integration with MYOB Advanced has been published on the Security Preferences form.
  4. In the Group column on the new row, select the Azure AD group that you want to associate with the role.
  5. On the form toolbar, click the Save icon ().
  6. For every role that should be mapped to Azure AD groups, repeat steps 2 to 5 of this procedure.
To remove a mapping from a role
  1. In MYOB Advanced, go to the User Roles (SM201005) form.
  2. In the Summary area, in the Role Name field, select the role for which you want to remove association with an Active Directory group (or with multiple groups).
  3. Click the row that contains the AD group that you want to disassociate from the role, and click Delete Row on the table toolbar.
  4. On the form toolbar, click the Save icon ().
  5. For every role you want to remove a mapping from, repeat steps 2 to 4 of this procedure.
