2024.2 Adapt release notes – 26 August 2024
The 2024.2 release adds lots of new features that save you time. The biggest change is that upgrading Adapt no longer impacts migrations that you have in progress. We’ve also resolved payroll issues identified in previous versions.
What’s new
Continuing in-progress migrations after upgrading Adapt
Upgrading to a new version of Adapt Desktop no longer causes issues with migrations you have in progress.
When you open Adapt Desktop and a new version is available, you’ll have to upgrade as usual. Then:
If you create a new migration, it’ll use the latest version with all the latest features and changes.
Your pre-existing migrations will use the same version that you were using before upgrading. They won’t include any features or changes from the latest version.
Adapt now refers to MYOB Acumatica
As part of the recent name change from MYOB Advanced to MYOB Acumatica, all areas of Adapt now refer to MYOB Acumatica in fields, columns, buttons, help instructions etc.
Adding rows from MYOB Acumatica
In Adapt Desktop, the new Add MYOB Acumatica Rows button lets you instantly get data from MYOB Acumatica without having to manually enter it. You can find the button in the Item Data tab.
This is useful if, for example, you have pay items in MYOB Acumatica and you want to share them with a client. Just click Add MYOB Acumatica rows, then export the information to Microsoft Excel, ready to be shared.
Or maybe you’ve migrated some information into MYOB Acumatica without using Adapt – Add MYOB Acumatica Rows makes it easier to work on that information in Adapt Desktop.
To get an idea of which rows exactly you’ll be adding from MYOB Acumatica, start by choosing Data + MYOB Acumatica Values in the Show dropdown. Then, click Download MYOB Acumatica Values. Any information that is in MYOB Acumatica but not in Adapt Desktop is highlighted pink and labelled Already in MYOB Acumatica.
When you click Add MYOB Acumatica Rows, the pink fields are updated with the information in MYOB Acumatica.
Bulk deleting Adapt generic inquiries
When you finish a migration, you can now quickly find and bulk delete all Adapt generic inquiries (GIs) from an MYOB Acumatica site, instead of tediously finding and deleting them one by one.
For instructions on how to bulk delete Adapt GIs, see our online help.
Adapt Desktop only shows trigger dates that need attention (NZ)
In version 2024.1, we added two progress items to ensure trigger dates are accurate.
To avoid confusion and save you time, these progress items will no longer show records where the employee trigger date is the same as their anniversary date, as these records don’t need any changes.
Instead, the progress items only show records where you might need to override the trigger date to be different from the employee start date. You can use the information in the progress items to decide whether to override or not.
Progress item for adding pay history Microsoft Excel sheet (NZ)
To ensure all deductions are correct, we’ve added the Pay History (Exo ES Excel Export) progress item.
This lets you import a Microsoft Excel sheet of pay history that was exported from MYOB Exo Employer Services. Then, on the Import Pay History progress item, you can add the correct deduction information by going to the Actions menu and choosing Update from Exo ES Excel Export.
Resolved issues
Reference | Region | Migration type | Area of Adapt | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
CE00049403 CE00049381 | AU and NZ | Payroll | Desktop | Errors occurred when uploading superannuation data. This was caused by case-sensitive duplicate records (e.g. QSUPER and QSuper). |
N/A | NZ | Payroll | Desktop | Sick leave and annual leave that were recorded in hours in MYOB Exo Employer Services were being uploaded to MYOB Acumatica in days. To fix this issue, you need to install an updated version of the file that adds the Special menu to MYOB Exo Employer Services. |
CE00049871 CE00049859 | NZ | Payroll | Desktop | In the Import Pay History item, there was no differentiation between deductions. E.g. post-tax deductions were imported as child support deductions. This has been resolved and you can now capture child support and student loan deductions correctly. As part of the fix, we’ve added a new progress item: Pay History (Exo ES Excel Export). To make sure the deductions are correct, check them against the source database. |
N/A | AU and NZ | Payroll ERP | Desktop | Previously, passwords had to be exactly 14 characters long. Now, they have to be at least 14 characters long, but they can be longer. |
