Logging in with MFA
Once you’ve added Greentree to an authenticator app, using multi-factor authentication (MFA) is easy. Simply log in as usual, with your username and password. Then, enter a one-time code that you get from an authenticator app.
There are also two backup ways to log in to Greentree if you can’t access your authenticator app – like if you don’t have your phone with you.
Logging in with an authenticator app
Log in to Greentree as usual, with your username and password. A screen opens, where you can enter an MFA code – also called one-time passcode (OTP).
Open your authenticator app and find the code. It will look something like this:
In Greentree, enter the code in the OTP field.
Click Log in and you’re finished.
If you can’t access your authenticator app
Log in to Greentree as usual, with your username and password.
On the screen where you usually enter your MFA code, click Another way.
On the next screen, select one of the options:
Email me a code – This sends an MFA code to the email address associated with your Greentree user. If you don’t have one, you need to use the next option.
Enter passcode from the Administrator – As a last resort, an administrator can give you an MFA code to use.
Click Back or Next.
If you chose to enter a code from your administrator, contact them and ask them to generate a code for you.
In the OTP field, enter the code you got by email or from your administrator.
Click Log in and you’re finished.
