Failed ir-Filing due to invalid characters


If you're using the latest MYOB Payroll version and you receive a message that your ir-Filing has failed due to the first line having invalid characters, try the following:

  • Check that the phone number does not contain brackets. Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, and click the Contact tab to check the phone number.
  • Check that all company information is set up correctly.

If changes are required you'll need to restore your company file, make the changes, and then resubmit your ir-File.
