Error: "9 Data type mismatch"

When setting up Payroll to integrate with your accounting software, the following error may be displayed:

This message may appear if you have an incorrect file path entered in the Path field of the Accounting tab in the Payroll Options.

To fix error '9/Data type mismatch'

  1. Click Close to close the error message.

  2. Go to the Tools menu and choose Options. The Payroll Options window appears.

  3. Click the Accounting tab.

  4. Select the AccountRight option, then select the Other option. The Path field will now be empty.

  5. Click Browse (...) and locate the applicable GL or Cashbook folder.

  6. Continue setting up your payroll/accounting integration as described in Manually integrating MYOB accounting software with Payroll.
