Known issue (resolved): When no employee works after 31/12 then the EMPDUPE file sets an incorrect financial year (Australia)
The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in Exo Payroll version 2014.02 for Australia.
Issue
Support has confirmed that when a company has no employees working past 31/12 as they have all been terminated, then the EMPDUPE file sets the Financial Year in the "Payer Identity Data Record" to the year of the pays processed and not the Financial Year the file is being created for.
Example: All employees were terminated in December 2013. The EMPDUPE file is created for the 2013 - 2014 Financial Year. The Financial Year field in the file will show 2013 instead of 2014 as there were no active employees and no pays were processed in 2014.
Workaround
Manually edit the EMPDUPE file and alter the year to the correct year.
Resolution
This issue has been progressed through to Product Development via parent ticket 110400570271 and has been resolved in version 2014.04
