Known issue (resolved): Posting GL from EXO Payroll for those using older versions of EXO Business (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and replicated by MYOB Support in the Australian release of Exo Employer Services.

Issue

The Exo Employer Services 2016.01 AU is not compatible with some older version of Exo Business. The users who are using Exo Business version 8.x or older will receive the below error message in Exo ES AU 2016.01 when they try to post GL information to Exo Business.

The long term solution for the above problem is getting Exo Business users upgraded to the newer version.

Also this issue can be resolved by using one of the below workarounds.

Workarounds

Option 1

To fix the issue in 32-bit Windows
  1. Get the older version of ExoOemLib.dll (version 8.0) which is compatible with Exo Business version 8.x from the URL http://Exo.myob.com/EmployerServices/Australia/ExoDLL/ExoOEMLib.dll and copy it to c:\windows\system32 folder.
  2. Run the command prompt in administrator mode and issue the command "regsvr32 -u Exooemlib.dll" from c:\windows\system32.
  3. From the same command prompt issue the command "regsvr32 Exooemlib.dll".
To fix the issue in 64-bit Windows
  1. Get the older version of ExoOemLib.dll ( version 8.0 ) which is compatible with Exo Business version 8.x from the URL http://Exo.myob.com/EmployerServices/Australia/ExoDLL/ExoOEMLib.dll and copy it to c:\windows\syswow64 folder.
  2. Run the command prompt in administrator mode and issue the command "regsvr32 -u Exooemlib.dll" from c:\windows\syswow64.
  3. From the same command prompt issue the command "regsvr32 Exooemlib.dll".

Option 2

To fix the issue in 32-bit Windows
  1. Get the newer version of ExonetLib.dll (version 2016.2) from the URL http://Exo.myob.com/EmployerServices/Australia/ExoDLL/ExonetLib.dll and copy it to c:\windows\system32 folder.
  2. Run the command prompt in administrator mode and issue the command "regsvr32 -u Exonetlib.dll" from c:\windows\system32.
  3. From the same command prompt issue the command "regsvr32 Exonetlib.dll.
To fix the issue in 64-bit Windows
  1. Get the newer version of ExonetLib.dll (version 2016.2) from the URL http://Exo.myob.com/EmployerServices/Australia/ExoDLL/ExonetLib.dll and copy it to c:\windows\syswow64 folder.
  2. Run the command prompt in administrator mode and issue the command "regsvr32 -u Exonetlib.dll" from c:\windows\syswow64.
  3. From the same command prompt issue the command "regsvr32 Exonetlib.dll".

Resolution

This issue was progressed to Product Development under Service Request 132944256802 and resolved in version 2016.02.
