Known issue (resolved): Payment summary not printing Lump Sum A amounts (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and replicated by MYOB Support in the Australian release of Exo Employer Services version 2013.02.


Support has confirmed that the Payment Summary is not printing Lump Sum A amounts after employees are reinstated.

Terminations undertaken that include Genuine Redundancy's, with unused Annual Leave and Long Service Leave paid as part of the Redundancy, do not show the leave values in the payment summary report IF the employees have been reinstated and have had a new pay done.

The usual scenario for this is that many clients reinstate all employees that need to have fringe benefits done for End of year reporting.



To fix the issue
  1. Create one off pay runs dated on the termination pay date for all employees involved. In these one off pays reverse the Annual leave and Long Service leave amounts. Do this through leave management and do not use the termination wizard at this point.
  2. Create another one off pay run and use the termination wizard adding in the annual leave and long service leave using this wizard. Please note, in step 1 of the termination wizard overwrite the Annual Leave with the original amounts. In step two overwrite the Long Service amount with the original amount. Please note, step two in the wizard is ONLY for Long Service Leave so do not put any Annual Leave amounts in the Lump Sum Payment A box, only Long Service Leave amounts. Finish the termination wizard and update this pay.
  3. Re-run the Payment Summary report to check amounts.


Service Management Record 12931042031 has been created for this issue and has been resolved in the 2013.05 service pack release.
