Known issue (resolved): Pay rate descriptions in standard pay changing to pay class names

The following issue has been identified and replicated by MYOB Exo Support in Exo Payroll Australia version 2017.04.

Issue

Support have confirmed that when the “Update All Rates” option is used from ‘Awards and Pay Classes’, in the Wages screen of the employees Standard Pay the Pay Rate descriptions of each line change to the Pay Class name, e.g. Ordinary pay line changes to Accounts Payable.

If an ‘Alternative Type Description’ had been used in the pay line, e.g. Afternoon Shift, then after doing “Update All Rates” the Alternative Type Description has been removed.

Workaround

Edit each pay line in the Wages screen then click Save and the Wages screen will now show the original Pay Rate name. If an Alternative Type Description had been used then that name will need to be re-entered when editing the pay line.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed to Product Development under Service Request 147056767858 for resolution in a future release. Resolved in version 2018.02.
