Known issue (resolved): Allowance with pre-set cost centre adopts employee default cost centre (New Zealand)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the New Zealand release of Exo Payroll 2017.01.

Issue

Support has confirmed that Allowances with a pre-set Cost Centre adopt employee default Cost Centre once added into a pay. These allowances would normally preserve the pre-set data (unless Proportional Costing is used).

This is likely to result in unexpected General Ledger codes being used for the allowance amounts.

Workaround

While a current or one-off pay is open, it is possible to edit Cost Centres via each employee's Wages / Allowances screen. Once a pay has been updated, could either amend data in accounting system (after posting), or follow normal pay correction options. Upgrading to latest software version will prevent this happening in future pays.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 143201363821 and was resolved in the 2017.03 release.
