Known issue 2016.01 (resolved): PAYE incorrect for bonuses that cross the earner levy threshold when pay includes public holiday (New Zealand)

The following issue has been identified and replicated by MYOB Support in the New Zealand release of Exo Employer Services version 2016.01.

Issue

Support have confirmed that when a bonus is being paid to an employee and the bonus crosses the Earner Levy Threshold, if the pay includes payment for a Public Holiday then the PAYE amount for the bonus is higher than expected and is incorrect. The software is calculating extra Earner Levy on the bonus as the Public Holiday amount is being excluded from the Extra Pay calculation.

Workaround

Manually calculate the PAYE figures for the bonus, add those figures to the PAYE amount for the rest of the pay and override the PAYE fields with these new figures.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed to Product Development via parent ticket 130268332580 and resolved in version 2016.02.
