Known issue 2016.01 (resolved): Checksum error message when starting software because company details are missing from the registration screen (New Zealand)

The following issue has been identified by MYOB Support in the New Zealand release of Exo Employer Services version 2016.01 for some clients.

MYOB Support cannot recreate this issue.

Issue

When starting the software a message may occur advising that the Registration Checksum is incorrect. Proceeding from this message will go to the Registration screen where the Company Contact Details section is empty, namely the Company Name and Licence Number fields.

The Registration Checksum message is caused by the Company Name and Licence Number fields being blank.

Workaround

Manually extract the REGSITE.DBF file from a company backup, e.g. <COMPANY NAME>.Z1, that was created before the situation occurred such as on the previous day then put this file into the Payroll folder to replace the existing file. Restart the Payroll which should get to the Login screen ok then check the Registration screen to make sure that the Company Details fields contain information.

Alternatively - if the the current-year "Registration Files" are available, copy these into the Payroll installation folder.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed to Product Development via parent ticket 130420454403 and was resolved in version 2017.01.
