Known issue 2015.01: Restoring backup into another company creates duplicate company card prefix and "missing" clock times

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in version 2015.01 and applies to both the Australian and New Zealand releases of Exo Time and Attendance.

Issue

Support has confirmed that when a company backup containing Time and Attendance information is restored to a different company, the Company Card Prefix will contain the same details as the original company the backup was created from.

This means that when the clocks are polled, the duplicate Company Card Prefix will stop clock times from being assigned to the correct company as the software does not know which one is correct.

Workaround

In the "Setup Exo Time and Attendance" screen of each company, edit the 'Company Card Prefix' field so that each company is unique. If required, the fingerprints and cards used at the Time Clocks may need to be changed to match to the 'Company Card Prefix' for the company the employees are in.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 117199515438 for resolution in a future release.
