Known issue 2015.01 (resolved) Personal leave balances showing incorrectly on reports after processing a historical pay (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the Australian release of Exo Payroll version 2015.01.

Issue

Support has confirmed that Personal Leave Balances can appear incorrectly on reports after an historical pay has been processed, e.g. a One Off Pay dated 31/3 for processing Fringe Benefit payments, as well as during the processing of the following Current Pay.

The Personal Leave accrual figure is being recalculated when the historical pay is processed, based on the date of that historical pay, which impacts on the Balance figures shown on reports. When the following Current Pay has been updated then the accrual figures will recalculate based on the date of the Current Pay.

In some circumstances the Custom Payslip report may show a different Personal Leave Balance than the Payslip report when being printed after the following Current Pay has been updated. This is due to how the different Payslip reports have been created and the information appearing in the tables at the time of printing.

Workaround

After the historical pay has been updated, check the Personal Leave Balances in Employee Maintenance for those employees included in the historical pay. This will recalculate the accrual figure which will correct the details for the next Current Pay.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 120454420282 and resolved in version 2015.01
