Known issue 2015.01 (resolved): Hours Paid button is greayed out for part time temporary/casual employees (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the Australian release of Exo Payroll version 2015.01.

Issue

Support has confirmed that when the Pay Period Valuation Method is ticked in the Annual Leave Setup screen (Utilities menu -> Setup Exo Payroll -> Leave management setup -> Annual leave), employees who are set to Casual or Temporary and Part Time or Contractor cannot access the Hours Paid button in the Current Pay.

Workaround

Below are different options that can be used to workaround the issue:

  • Change the employee from Part Time to Full Time which will make the Hours Paid button active in the Current Pay.
  • Change the Hours Paid in the Standard Pay to the desired figure before creating the Current Pay.
  • Change the Hours Paid figure in the Standard Pay to the desired figure, use the Reset button in the Current Pay to reset to the Standard Pay then re-enter the pay details for that pay.
  • Untick the Pay Period Valuation Method option in the Annual Leave Setup. The Hours Paid button will be greyed out for all employees, except for Salary employees and the figures appearing in the Hours Paid field will automatically update based on what is being paid in the pay, i.e. Wages, Annual Leave, etc.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 119372957680 for resolution in a future release and has been resolved in version 2016.01.
