Known issue 2015.01: Personal leave balance decreasing when group is changed part way through leave year (Australia)

The following issue has been identified by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the Australian release of Exo Payroll version 2015.01.

Issue

Support have confirmed that when using the new leave functionality, if the Personal Leave Group is changed part way through the existing Personal Leave year then the Current Accrued and Balance are reduced by the accrual of the previous part year.

Changing the Personal Leave Group creates a new line based on the date specified. The existing entitlement line has a new End Date assigned and the Accrual is recalculated for that shortened period. This accrual figure for the shortened period is removed from the Current Accrual figure and so the Balance is reduced as well.

Workaround

Manually update the Carry Over figure with the missing amount.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 128230194403 for resolution in a future release.
