Known issue 2015.01: Maximum earnings base figure does not apply if employee changes superannuation fund in the quarter (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the Australian release of Exo Payroll version 2015.01.

Issue

Employer Superannuation items have the Maximum Earnings Base field for determining the maximum superannuation amount in a quarter for an employee.

The Maximum Earnings Base is being calculated based on the Superannuation item that was assigned to the employee when the earnings were paid rather than on the earnings in the overall quarter.

This means that if an employee changes their Superannuation fund during a quarter, the Maximum Earnings Base figure is only calculating on the earnings paid since the Superannuation item was changed rather than on the earnings in the entire quarter.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Development via parent ticket 123110813831 and for resolution in a future release.
