Known issue 2015.01: Employee's long service leave accruals changing after turning on the new leave functionality (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in the Australian release of Exo Payroll version 2015.01.

Issue

When the new Leave functionality is applied to a company, the Long Service Leave accrual figures for each pay can change from what the employee was accruing in the old functionality, to a higher figure in the new functionality.

The new system uses the number of days in the first year of the Entitlement period to determine the accrual figure per pay that is used for the entire Entitlement period. If the first year of the Entitlement period occurs in a leap year then the accrual will be a higher figure than the employee used to accrue. 

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Development via parent ticket 123123749288 for investigation and possible resolution in a future release.
