Known issue 2014.04: RDO exception units post incorrectly to EXO Payroll (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in Exo Time and Attendance version 2014.04 for Australia.

Issue

Support has confirmed that when posting 'RDO' exception details from Exo Time and Attendance, the information is transferred incorrectly into Exo Payroll as detailed below:

  • An "Ordinary" wage line is created, using the units from the Exception's "Exo Time and Attendance Hours to Count" field entered for that day. This does not correctly document the RDO leave being taken.
  • In Leave Management the RDO "Hours to Reduce" field is left as 0. This means that the employee's RDO leave balance will not be reduced for the leave taken and no "RDO Entitlement" wage line is created for paying the RDO hours.

Workaround

Manually edit the records in the Current Pay after the posting has been done to remove the "Ordinary" hours that were transferred and add the RDO "Hours to Reduce" figures. This will allow the Payroll to reduce the employees RDO balance once the pay has been updated and will create an "RDO Entitlement" wage line to pay the employee for their RDO time off.

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 112775851615 for resolution in a future release.
