Known issue 2014.04: "Problems Posting to EXO Business" report does not work as expected (Australia)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Exo Employer Services Support in Exo Payroll version 2014.04 for Australia.

Issue

Support has confirmed that when using the "Post to Exo Business" item in the Reports menu, the "Problem Posting..." report does not always open as expected.

This situation happens when:

  • The report is set to "Summary" for the 'Post In' setting
  • "Posted" General Ledger codes all match the codes setup in Exo Business
  • One or more Payroll Employee codes do not exist as Exo Business Payroll ID's

During the posting process, a message "Some information in the selected pays cannot be posted correctly to Exo Business. Do you want to view" appears. When the report destination is set to Screen, information flickers briefly on the screen then disappears while printing the report provides a blank page.

Continue through the posting process to complete the posting and the information is tranferred appropriately.

Workaround

Set the 'Post In' setting to "Detail" to confirm that there are no issue General Ledger codes but there should be issue employees appearing in the report. Change the 'Post In' setting back to "Summary", continue the posting process then check that the items have been posted correctly. 

Resolution

This issue has been progressed through to Product Management via parent ticket 112775456113 for resolution in a future release.
