Known issue 2014.01: Unpaid leave hours incorrectly adding to hours paid (New Zealand)

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in Exo Payroll NZ version 2014.01.

Issue

Support has confirmed that Unpaid Leave hours are being incorrectly added to Hours Paid.

This issue will occur if payroll is setup to have Holidays in Hours and the Pay Period Valuation Method is ticked with an employee on the Permanent Part Time Method.

When the employee is paid for Unpaid Leave using the new leave type then the Hours Paid figure includes the hours for the Unpaid Leave when it should not be doing so.

If the Pay Period Valuation Method is un-ticked then the Unpaid Leave hours will be included in all employees Hours Paid figures.

The Unpaid Leave hours are causing the employee to accrue more Holiday Pay entitlement than they should be. The Holiday Pay rate could also be getting calculated incorrectly based on the incorrect Hours Paid going through.

Workaround

Manual correction.

Resolution

Service Management Record 16252607514 has been created and resolved in the 2014.02 update.
