Known issue 2010.02: Personal leave group calculation (Australia)

Issue

When assigning a Personal Leave Group to an employee the following issues occur:

• Apply the Group from the employees Start Date then the software calculates accrual for all pays from previous Personal Leave years and applies that accrual to the Carry Over figure for that employee.
• Apply the Group from a specific date then the Carry Over figures are cleared completely. If there were existing Carry Over figures then they will be incorrect.

Workaround

A manual correction can be applied to the Carry Over total this is done by accessing the Employee Maintenance, Leave Entitlements tab, then selecting the “Edit” button on the Personal Leave line in the Other Details column.
