By repeatedly converting an opportunity with non existent stock codes, CRM can confuse itself about line statuses.
Issue ID: EXB-6749
Using non existent stock codes in opportunities and then proceed to convert them into jobs leads to errors.
By doing so they receive a QuoteQuery: Dataset not in edit or insert mode error.
If this is repeated, the conversion works on a 2nd attempt if Job Costing is Open. But:
-
Lines up until the missing Stockcode will change status to JOB in the Opportunity
-
Only Opportunity Lines after the missing Stockcode will appear on the Job Quote tab.
Users will see the following error if this happens:
Error: QuoteQuery: Dataset not in edit or insert mode
Workaround
Ensure stock codes exist before converting quotes into jobs.
Task/Activity screen no longer has a vertical scroll bar for the note field.
Issue ID: EXB-6773
If a large amount of text is entered into an activity, the latest releases (2020+) do not correctly show a vertical scrollbar correctly.
This can make it difficult to work with large notes.
Workarounds
-
Use the arrow keys to navigate the note field
OR -
Use CTRL + A to select all text, and paste into a text editor to edit large blocks of text.
Lookup status ignored on quote conversion depending on stockcode case. (Resolved 2023.3)
Issue ID: 6629
Resolved in 2023.3
It was possible to enter a stockcode not in uppercase in the CRM screen. If this was done, when quote was converted to Job Costing the lookup recoverable setting would be ignored and a cost might be retained. This has now been corrected.
