MYOB Acumatica — Workforce Management 24.7, July 2024
With 24.7 we’ve made some big improvements to the onboarding process for new hires, with a better user interface (especially on phone screens), a progress bar, and a new notification about their account.
We’ve also continued our focus on improving speed (on the Employee Profile screen this time), added a timesheet importer, and fixed a number of issues throughout the system.
MYOB Advanced has been renamed MYOB Acumatica. As we transition to MYOB Acumatica, you might notice both names being used interchangeably in the product interface, on our website, and within our documentation.
What's new?
Improved onboarding forms
To make it easier for new employees to fill out the form, we’ve made some big improvements to the process.
First, we’ve made the buttons and text easier to follow on smaller screens, so that it’s just as easy to fill out on a phone as it is on a full-size web browser.
We’ve also added a progress bar so that users can see how far through the onboarding process they are, with the active page highlighted. So they can tell what they still need to fill out, we’ve added an indicator against the pages as well as a warning on the final page.
Finally, we’ll now send an email notification to new users when they create their account. This will help them understand their account status and also to log back in later if they need to continue their application.

Employee profile performance improvement
We’ve made some changes in the background to make the employee profile screen load faster.
Improved sales data reporting for companies with multi-level location structures
To make it easier to report on sales at a company level, we’ve improved the way sales data from demand templates is calculated.
Previously, company sales figures included the demand template figures from each location, including parent and child locations. This meant if you had a branch/department structure, sales figures for the branch as well as each department would be included at the company level, which is not accurate.
Now, only sales data from the highest-level child location with a demand template applied is included in the company figures. In a branch/department structure it would exclude the departments.
Note that the logic for locations remains the same - sales data will come from the demand template applied to that location, regardless of parent/child relationship to other locations.
To find out more about using demand-based rostering to increase efficiency and reduce risk, see Using a demand-based roster template.
New timesheet importer
To make it easier for sites to transition away from their existing clocking systems, we’ve added a Timesheet importer.
This importer will let you import basic timesheets with start and end times, location and notes - download the example spreadsheet to see how it works.
See Importing Data for tips on importing into workforce management.
