2018.1.6 Hot Fix Release Notes

Introduction

The 2018.1.6 Hot Fix release provides an update to the Payroll module and addresses issues identified in previous releases.

NZ Compliance Updates

New Zealand only

The Dynamic Calculation Engine (DCE) service used by the Payroll module has been updated for the 2019-2020 New Zealand financial year.

ACC Rates and Thresholds

The following changes to ACC come into effect on 1 April 2019:

Student Loan Thresholds

Student loan thresholds for the 2019–2020 financial year come into effect on 1 April 2019. The new thresholds are:

KiwiSaver Updates

The Payroll module has been updated to allow KiwiSaver contribution rates of 6% and 10% from 1 April 2019.

Extra Pay Calculation Update

The IRD has advised that, when calculating the four-weekly gross-up for taxing extra pay, you should not include any other amounts of extra pay that may have been made in that four week period. The Payroll module has been updated to correctly calculate the taxation of "Taxable: Extra Pay" pay items.

The error message “Unknown column 'BAccount.CompanyID' in 'on clause” could appear when attempting to print the BAS report on the Release Tax Report screen (TX502000). This has been resolved.

If you have customised the BAS report, you will need to revert the report to the default version to pick up this fix, then re-apply the customisations. MYOB recommends against customising the BAS report.

Clicking the Process button on the Print / Email Remittance Advice screen (MPAP5053) could generate a “Failed to subscribe to the event” error message. This has been resolved.
