Mandatory Upgrades for Serial Key change

As part of a required change to the PayGlobal serial key generator, MYOB is implementing a mandatory upgrade that requires all customers to move to version 4.72 or later for PayGlobal and version 5.6 for Employee Self Service (ESS), before being issued a serial key with a start date from the 1st of January 2026.

Upgrade Requirements:

  • All PayGlobal customers must be on version 4.72 or greater by January 2026 to support the new serial key.

  • ESS customers must upgrade to version 5.6 or greater.

On-Premise Customers in New Zealand:

  • On-premise customers need to complete their ESS upgrade before the end of the year. You do not need to upgrade PayGlobal again, as the NZ tax upgrade recently completed was the minimum version required (4.72).

  • To ensure a smooth upgrade process, please liaise directly with your account manager or the MYOB Resources team - payglobalresources@myob.com.

On-Premise Customers in Australia:

  • AU EOY upgrade packages will be made available soon

    • As part of “The Works” upgrade package, this includes the ESS upgrade.

    • If you take the “Essentials” package, there is the option to add-on the ESS upgrade.

    • We will also make an “ESS only” upgrade option available.

It is crucial to stay updated with these new requirements for uninterrupted access and functionality of the PayGlobal solution.
