Firewall infrastructure changes on Saturday 3rd August to Sunday 18th August

Please note: existing remote access IP whitelistings for PayGlobal Online are NOT impacted by this.

What? / Why?

To continue our focus on improving the security of PayGlobal Online, the Platform team will be making changes to firewall infrastructure throughout August, replacing existing firewall infrastructure with a modern managed firewall service from AWS.

When?

Changes are scheduled between 10pm Saturday - 2am Sunday NZT over the three separate weekends in August between Saturday 3rd August - Sunday 18th August. Some customers may notice degraded connectivity for PayGlobal and ESS, and impacts to the availability of SSRS, email, and file move services during the change windows.

What customers need to do

The IP address of our FTP server will be changing.

If your organisation has implemented IP whitelisting for outbound connections you will need to ensure the below changes are made. Payroll users should contact their internal IT teams and provide details of these changes so that they can check if there are changes required on your side.

  • Current IP address: 54.153.226.176

    • This address needs to remain whitelisted until after the final change window.

Recommended change:

  • New SFTP server connection is to ftp.myobpayglobal.com.

  • Whitelist this web address: ftp.myobpayglobal.com instead of IP address.

    • These change will not impact customers who have already whitelisted the web address.

  • If you must use an IP address, add the following new IP addresses to your whitelist: 54.79.188.118, 13.239.152.177 & 52.65.205.230.

    • These addresses should be added to your whitelist now, and must be added before the final change window.

    • There are multiple addresses going forward as the infrastructure changes include a Network Load Balancer

The above changes will need to be made for anything that you have configured that manages outbound connections; this includes direct access from a web browser, as well as any third-party vendor integrations you might have.

If these changes are not made, you may notice files or integration data missing from PayGlobal after the change windows, which will impact the ability to complete your pays.

There are no customer-related actions required for the other services included in the scope of these changes (SSRS, Email, outbound file move services, ESS or PayGlobal).

If you have any questions or suspect you have been impacted by these changes, please contact the MYOB PayGlobal team at payglobalsupport@myob.com.
