Limitation - Clarity - Pipe Character not available in HTML CLE files

Issue

Support has confirmed that the PIPE character | is unavailable to utilise when using HTML CLE template files.
This character is commonly used in email signatures and as a general “separator.”

Workaround

1. Add the Pipe character as a field in a Data Pipeline.
2. Add the Data Pipeline field into the CLE Text.

By using the above, you force the Pipe character in after the replacement has been run, which means the pipe character stays available.

Resolution

This is a limitation due to the way the Pipe characters are used to define fields for data import from the Clarity data pipeline. See workaround above.
