Known issue 8.5: Sales order screen is not calculating Free Qty correctly for linked stockcodes

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in EXO Business from version 8.5.0.

Before upgrading your clients please take into consideration the following issues especially if the site has specific requirements in these areas.

As always we recommend that thorough testing in a non-live environment is undertaken before commencing an upgrade.

Issue

Support has confirmed that the Free Qty field in Sales Orders does not properly calculate when Linked Stockcodes that are not using a 1:1 relationship are used. In the case where there is a <1:1 relationship with the linked stockcode, this can produce stock shortage warnings where they are not justified and potentially requesting backorders to be created.

Workaround

If the stock shortage warning is ignored and the order saved, the Free Qty field will show correctly.
