Known issue 8.4.1: Job Costing Custom date range excludes appointments with a prior start date
The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in EXO Business version 8.4.1.
Before upgrading your clients please take into consideration the following issues especially if the site has specific requirements in these areas.
As always we recommend that thorough testing in a non-live environment is undertaken before commencing an upgrade.
Issue
Support have confirmed that on the resource planning tab in job costing, when a custom date range is entered, it queries based on the start date of the job as opposed to displaying jobs in progress between the date range.
As an example if a job has a start date of 29/10/2012 and an end date of 04/11/2012, custom dates are entered on the planning tab to cover 01/11/2012 to 04/11/2012 the job is not displayed, even though it is in progress and the resource is tied up to the job. This is because the query is based on the start date.
Workaround
Use wider date ranges to cover start dates.
