Known issue 8.3.1: Payment Reversal allows future dated transactions

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in EXO Business version 8.3.1.

Before upgrading your clients please take into consideration the following issues especially if the site has specific requirements in these areas.

As always we recommend that thorough testing in a non-live environment is undertaken before commencing an upgrade.

Issue

Support have confirmed that in Debtors a Payment Reversal allows transactions to be recorded in periods that are not yet open or created.

Transactions should not be able to record where there is no period setup but future dated transactions are possible though payment reversals by using a system date that is not in a created period.
