Known issue 2018.1: JC—Inconsistency in behavior when time is entered through 'Timesheet' tab and Direct time entry screen

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in Exo Business version 2017.3

Before upgrading your clients please take into consideration the following issues especially if the site has specific requirements in these areas.

As always we recommend that thorough testing in a non-live environment is undertaken before commencing an upgrade.

Issue

‘Enforce stock period locks in Job Costing’ profile when deactivated, user can enter time for previous closed period from Job Costing > Job > Timesheet tab but unable to do so from Direct Time Entry screen, getting ‘Date must be in an open period’ message.

Workaround

Enter time through Job> TimeSheet screen if it is for a closed period

Attached to Problem ticket 155113383165 for resolution in a future release.
