Known issue 2018.1: CPP—Error while updating M-Powered payment when the company name (REF3) is in excess of 30 character

The following issue has been identified and subsequently replicated by MYOB Support in Exo Business version 2017.3

Before upgrading your clients please take into consideration the following issues especially if the site has specific requirements in these areas.

As always we recommend that thorough testing in a non-live environment is undertaken before commencing an upgrade.

Issue

Creditor Payment Processor when using M-Powered as payment option is giving ‘Error saving data: String or binary data would be truncated’ message when the payment processor is updated, if the company name is more than 30 characters. The payment is not processed through EXO but is saved on the M-Powered Services Centre.

Workaround

Manually reduce the company name and apply for new registration file under new name
