2024.02 Service Pack 1 release notes

This service pack resolves an issue that could affect companies with Exo Payroll installed in multiple folders – e.g. different folders for AU payroll and NZ payroll. Creating payslips for multiple payrolls at once could cause an employee to receive another employee’s payslip.

Installing this release

Pre-install requirements

Requirements for PCs running Exo Employer Services components are detailed on the Minimum System Requirements page.

Installing Exo Employer Services

Check the release

To make sure this release installed successfully, check that the versions displayed on the About window (Help menu > About) match the versions listed here:

  • MYOB Exo Employer Services – 2024.02

  • MYOB Exo Payroll – 2024.02

  • MYOB Exo Employee Information – 2024.02

  • MYOB Exo Time and Attendance – 2024.02

  • Runtime Files – 09.00.0000.7423

New features

To resolve the issue, you need to select a new checkbox for all payroll companies: Prevent users creating payslips for multiple payrolls at once.

If a user tries creating payslips for one payroll while payslips are already being created for another, they get a message to wait until the first lot of payslips are finished.

  • For Australian companies, the checkbox is on the Other tab of the Setup Payroll screen.

  • For New Zealand companies, the checkbox is on the Special Options Setup screen.

We’ve also added the option to choose a Lock file location. The lock file is what Exo Payroll uses to prevent payslips being created for multiple payrolls at once.

If you don’t choose a location, a folder is created automatically the next time a user creates payslips.
