Sending broadcast messages

Broadcast messages let you easily communicate with your employees. You can send news, action items and other updates in bulk, and then employees will be notified through their news feed on both the mobile and web apps.

  1. Open your Feed by clicking the speech bubble icon at the top-right of the screen.

  1. Click New Message. The New Message panel opens.

  2. Click + Recipient to select who you want to send the message to.
    Select locations or roles to send the message to all applicable employees.

  3. Enter your message.

  4. To add an image or another file to the message, click Upload File or Upload Images. Images will appear after your message, and files will be available to download.

  5. To make your message more visible, either pin it or mark it as important.

    • Click Pin and enter a timeframe to make the message appear at the top of everyone’s feed for a while.

    • Click the flag icon to mark the message as important. Important messages are displayed with a red outline.

  6. If you want to track who has read the message, select Request read confirmation.
    You can see how many people have read the message on your feed.

  7. To allow employees to reply publicly to the message, select Allow comments.

  8. Click Post Message when you’re ready to send.

  1. Log in to the MYOB Advanced Team mobile app.

  2. Tap the Messages tile (from either the Employee or Manager tab).

  3. Tap New Message.

  4. Tap Send to to select the recipients. Select locations or roles to send the message to all applicable employees.

  5. Type your message, and attach any images or files you’d like to send with it.

  6. Tap the flag icon to mark the message as important, and the pin to pin it to the top of your employees' feeds.

  7. If you want to track who has read the message, select Require read confirmation.
    You can see how many people have read the message on your feed.

  8. To allow employees to reply publicly to the message, select Allow comments.

  1. Open your Feed by clicking the speech bubble icon at the top-right of the screen.

  2. Click the rubbish bin icon againt the message you want to delete. The confirmation panel opens.

  3. Click Remove to confirm the deletion.

Deleting a message in the mobile app

  1. Log in to the MYOB Advanced Team mobile app.

  2. Tap the Messages tile (from either the Employee or Manager tab).

  3. Tap the rubbish bin icon against the message you’d like to delete.

  4. Tap Remove to confirm the deletion.
